Prior to sending SEPA records or TIE records in SEEDS, students must have the following requirements in SIS and SEEDS.
Required Information for sending Timely Initial Evaluations (TIE) records
One of the following enrollment types is required in the district SIS before sending a student's TIE record:
- SSA record: An enrollment record (/studentSchoolAssociation) which can only be created for students aged three to 21 who are special ed eligible.
- SEORA record: An enrollment record (Student Education Organization Responsibility Association) needs to be created for unenrolled children, such as a child who is below compulsory school age, parentally placed in a private school, or receiving home-based education.
The following information is required in SEEDS before sending a student's TIE record:
- WISEid: Enter the WISEid on the Student tab in Student Detail View. This must be entered regardless of the student's age and if the student qualifies for sped services or not.
- Initial event: Create an initial event for the student and complete the required forms.
- TIE record: Located under Toolbox - Timely Initial Eval. Complete and send the TIE record.
Required Information for sending SEPA records
The following information must be present in the SIS before sending a student's SEPA record:
- SSA record: An enrollment record (/studentSchoolAssociation) which can only be created for students aged three to 21 who are special ed eligible.
- Private school students: The student must be enrolled in a public school in the SIS if the student is receiving sped services.
- Alternative Placement: If a student is placed outside of the district, the district who is claiming the student at WISE must have an enrollment in the SIS at a public school.
The following information is required in SEEDS before sending a student's SEPA record:
- WISEid: Enter the WISEid on the Student tab in Student Detail View.
- IEP Dates: Enter all IEP dates on the Evaluation tab in Student Detail View.
- Special Education Data: Enter Ed Environment, Primary Disability, Secondary Impairment on Evaluation tab in Student Detail View.
- District and School: Match school and district of Placement information on the District tab with the enrollment information in the SIS.
