As of March 2026, SEEDS no longer has the capability of creating labels.
An alternative to creating labels in SEEDS is to use the Avery website: https://www.avery.com/
Create an Export of Parent/Guardian Addresses
The first step in creating labels is to create a spreadsheet of parent/guardian addresses.
- Go to Export of Student Data report.
- Add a Configuration title, such as "Mailing Labels"
- Select Student First Name and Student Last Name under "Student Information."
- Select Full Name, Street Address, City, State, Zip Code under "Parent/Guardian."
- Click Create Report. This will create a spreadsheet of data that can be saved either in an Excel spreadsheet or as a Google Sheet.
Using the Avery Website
Next, upload the spreadsheet into the Avery website at https://www.avery.com/.
- Create a free account on the Avery website.
- Click on the blue initials on the top right side of the screen, and click "Projects"
- Click Create a New Project.
- Select the size of labels that are required (Typically 5160)
- Select the type of label used in the district.
- Click Import Data on the left menu, then click Start Import/Merge.
- Choose the correct file either as an upload, from the Avery account, or from Google Drive.
- Select the fields required for an address label.
- When the fields are ready to print, click "Preview and Print."
- If only one label is required, select "Show Print Options" from the Preview and Print screen, and select the individual label required.
