Determining School Year of Timely Initial Evaluation (TIE) Record

The Timely Initial Evaluation (TIE) record is always sent in the school year of the Consent to Eval Received Date. 

Per DPI, the school year ends June 30th and begins July 1st. The reporting year is based on when the 60 calendar day timeline begins (July 1, YY through June 30, YY+1).

In the example above, the Consent to Eval Received date is 5/31/24. The Evaluation meeting date is 8/1/24. This student's TIE record would be sent in the 23/24 school year, even though the evaluation was not completed until the 24/25 school year. 

The School year can be changed at the top right corner of the SEEDS screen.
