This article steps through the process of viewing the Student Special Education Program Association (sSEPA) in SEEDS.
*DPI refers to this information sSEPA records, but SEEDS refers to it as SEPA records.
Here is a helpful slide show from DPI about the fields in a sSEPA record.
Viewing Student Special Education Program Association (sSEPA)
The SEPA record for a student can be found by going to the Student Detail View - District - SEPA Data.
Click on SEPA Data to see individual SEPA records.
Green check marks under the data points indicate that the data has been sent to WISE and matches what is in WISE.
Manually Updating SEPA data in SEEDS
SEPA records can be manually updated as needed.
To open a SEPA record:
- Click the green SEPA Begin Date to open a SEPA record.
- Manually change dates or information in the SEPA record.
- Click Submit to exit the SEPA record.
- Click Remove SEPA record to remove the SEPA record.
- Click Cancel to cancel any changes.
- Once a user is returned to the main SEPA record page, it may be necessary to click "Send SEPA data to WISEdata."
General Notes about SEPA Records:
- A new SEPA record row is created every time that the IEP Implementation Date is updated on the student's Evaluation tab.
- The school listed as Placement School on the student's District tab will be the Reporting/Servicing School on the SEPA record.
- If a private school is listed as the Placement School, the SEPA record must be manually updated with a public school.
- Student must be enrolled in the school before a SEPA record can be sent from SEEDS. The enrollment data is sent to WISEdata by the district's SIS.
- WISEdata will only accept special education data from students who have enrollments from that district. Student/enrollment data is initially sent from the district's Student Information System (SIS).
